In Unlocking God’s Secrets we spent time looking at how detailed God is in His order of things, and how interested He seems to be in numbers. We even talked about God’s definition of each number. There is a fascinating example of God’s repetition of numbers that we did not discuss in the book that I think you will find very intriguing.

         Have you have ever wondered why God was so detailed in His Word as to even give us the ages of fathers when their children were born? If so, this will amaze you. What I am alluding to is the Biblical fact that there were 130 years between Adam and Seth, 105 years between Seth and Enos, 90 years between Enos and Cainan, etc. Every single generational gap from Adam to Abram’s birth is listed in numbers of years.

        When we add up the years between all those generations we come to a grand total of 1,948 years. Now, when we look at the period from Jesus to the rebirth of Israel as a nation in 1948 we obviously come up with the same 1,948 years.

        God orchestrated the timing of these two events to be exactly the same. The time from the first Adam to the creation of the Hebrew nation was identical to the timing from the second Adam (Jesus) to the creation of the second Hebrew nation.

        God is utterly awesome!
